16:00 hrs - Since 4:00 am it has been all go. Kind of like this........Oh oh wind dying again, no its shifting, ah there it is, need the big jib up, rain, 90 degree wind shift, water ballast in wrong side, sail to big, water out, sail down, head down wind, engine on, water in new side, small jib out, oops need a reef in the main. Ah relax. 10 mins later, no wind, lots of rain, banging from side to side, water ballast on the wrong side, take it out. Boat going 1 kts....backwards, wind filling in, 90 degree shift.........get the picture. This has finally ended and it is blowing 25 - 30 out of the NW. BTC Velocity is averaging 11 kts and has done 35 nm in the last 3 hours. On a day like today, don't envy me out here. Enjoy your desk job and a have a cup of coffee and fresh sandwich, because you can.
